The tournament was established in 2015, with the goal of raising funds
and awareness for the Make-A-Wish of Southern Florida Foundation.
Funds that are raised at the local tournament will be used in the Tampa Bay
area to benefit children battling critical illnesses.
Wishes make life better for kids with critical illnesses. This simple, but powerful
belief drives Make-A-Wish, which inspires the community to give back and keeps
us all working harder to continue raising awareness.
The Fishing for Wishes Tournament’s mission is to raise funds and awareness in the Tampa Bay area for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern, Florida. The funds raised at the tournament are directly contributed to the local chapter granting wishes for children battling critical illnesses.
The event success is largely due to the donations and participation from our vendors and community support. Help us raise the bar in 2019 on May 10, 2019 at the 5th Annual Fishing for Wishes Tournament.
Attendees are able to register their crew for the Fishing for Wishes Tournament in two categories; either as a Wish-Maker or Catching-For-Kids. Each sponsorship includes a guided boat with up to three Anglers, bait and tackle, breakfast, company branding, event goodie bags and much more!
The Fishing for Wishes tournament has raised over $498,000 for the Make-A-Wish Tournament of Southern Florida.
Since 2015, year over year the Fishing for Wishes Tournament has raised a minimum of 30% more each year. Each year the tournament draws over 200 people, including approximately 45 crews. Over the past four years, the FFW tournament has been able to grant over 62 wishes to children fighting critical illnesses.
