RIPA & Associates provide dream opportunity to local boy fighting cancer

RIPA & Associates partnered with @nationalpcf and @ringpowercat to provide a dream opportunity for Owen, a local boy who wants to be a heavy equipment operator when he grows up and defeats cancer.

Owen moved to Florida from Ohio when he was 2 years old. When he saw his new pediatrician, the doctor was concerned about some bruising Owen was experiencing. Blood work was ordered, and the diagnosis was B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Owen is set to complete his treatment in late 2022 .

We will also be sponsoring Owen to participate in the upcoming “Fashion Funds the Cure” events in Sarasota on September 9th and St. Petersburg on October 15.

September is #NationalChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonthin the U.S. to bring awareness to pediatric cancer. NPCF’s main mission is funding research to eliminate childhood cancer. “With September being national pediatric cancer awareness month, this is a wonderful story to share and let America know that more research needs to occur,” said Dave Frazer, CEO of NPCF. “Every day, 43 children are diagnosed with cancer. The US government only spends 4% of the millions of dollars for cancer research on pediatric cancer research.
